Abstract
Czech adverbial constructions introduced by the expressions jako and než are understood as grmmaticalized ellipsis. Their undelying structures are proposed in the shape of reconstructed constructions containing either the repeated items from the governing predication or by the new artfitial nodes with general semantics.
