The scope of paper was focused on the activites of czech archaeological expedition in southern Uzbekistan, at the site of Burgut Kurgan and its surroundings. Especially were presented excavations of the site - belonging to early Iron Age (Yaz I culture), and its interconnection with the circumjacent landscape.
Whole area was examined by surface prospections. The paper was also aimed at possible interpretations of collected data in the context of Zoroastrian writings.
