Jin Ping Mei or The Plum in the Golden Vase, volume five, is the fifth section of the longtime project of the complete critical translation of the fundamental classic Chinese novel translatet from its earliest typeset edition (1617). It is one of the fundamental works of the Far East great narrative canon.
