Abstract

During school experiments of electrostatics and in many activities in daily life charging or discharging objects often takes place via short electric discharges. What happens during charging a metal body or a school electroscope by electrified rod? How to find fault when something goes wrong? An unusual way to find answers to these questions by using a digital oscilloscope is presented in this paper.
