Ukrainian Helsinki movement and its cooperation with the West (1976 - 1991)

Abstract

The study is devoted to the foundation and functioning of Ukrainian Helsinki movement. The article examines its influences on political and social life in USSR during the second half of 20th century.

Special attention is paid on the cooperation of Ukrainian human right movement with western organizations and politics.
