Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2016

Abstract

The article discusses relationship between noncommunist Slovak politician Jozef Lettricha with communist movement and his politicians. There were different view of him, closer relations had Lettrich with communist group around Gustav Husak (the article contains an appendix of their personal correspondence), linked them generational experience and participation in the Slovak National Uprising.

This cooperation was disrupted by the parlamentary elections in May 1946 and the Cold War, then was Lettrich as a leader of the Democratic Party for communists an enemy and a clear goal political monopoly of power.
