Abstrakt
Paper focuses on personality of Ivan Markovič and highlights of his work as a journalist, member of the Social Democratic Party and statesman in the context of the history of the First Czechoslovak Republic. It points to his merits in the resistance movement and his involvement in the emergence of the new state.
It deals with his political activities in the interwar period until his death in Buchenwald. Paper wants to remind this important personality of our history, which, in academia, only minimal attention was paid to.
