Abstract
An abstract of a conference presentation which dealt with the question of shifts in translating of the reporting verb "said" into Czech. The investigation was based on the data from the parallel corpus InterCorp and focused mainly on the most prototypical pattern, i.e. "said" followed by an adverb ending in -ly.
