Abstract
The principle of discovery, proactive and creative approach is nowadays emphasized. The melodrama is a specific music formation, which represents a unique link text and music folder.
The boundary between "center" and "periphery" artistic culture shift. The paper is a reflection of a hitherto neglected set of issues concerning Czech melodrama.
Melodrama positon in Czech culture was changed during development. The ratio of words and music has been diverse from the very beginning.
It has been varied according to the type of music pieces, the composer's personality, the kind of literary model. The relationship of words and music has been altered by the musical devices, recitation and acting.
If we talk about melodrama as a separate music department, the paper presents the view of the status of today's melodrama in the arts of different aspects: theoretical reflection, monitoring social function of music, the development status words and music inside melodrama, the impact of new musical expressions, the melodrama oscillating between different genres. This paper is a probe of use of melodrama in education process.
Melodrama offers many forms of processing: one person theatre, chamber acting performances with music, blending contemporary music styles into melodramatic music (rap, song, chanson, musical, parody etc.) That is the secret of melodrama and the great benefit to the school.
