Abstract
Article reviews the autobiographical book of professor of the South Bohemian University in České Budějovice Robert Sak. The author came from a Czech-Russian-Jewish family, he lived most of his life with his Czech father, mother learned shortly before her death.
Sak's memoirs reflect the concept of life in Czechoslovakia, especially before 1989 and his work in one publishing house in České Budějovice and at the South Bohemian University.
