Abstract

In the years 1331-1333 the Czech King John of Luxembourg with the help of his son Charles attempted to form his own domain (signoria) in Northern Italy. The centre if their rule was the town of Parma.

The text compares the information about Luxembourg "signoria" in the anonymous chronicle of the town of Parma with the description of the Italian happenings in the autobiography of Charles IV (Vita Caroli).
