Abstract

The article focuses on deformities of originally philosophical concept of totality in the discourse of Marxist education. It is based on double concept of totality.

The author inclines to the Platonic model of totality as relating to the whole, and he explains the reasons why it should be a part of conscious and humanistic education. He also describes the reasons for marxism diverting from the philosophical idea of the whole and the way it curtailed the concept of scientific Weltanschauung, united methodology of science and education of a communist citizen.
