Abstract
The paper deals with the involvement of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education, especially in the field of Visual Arts Education. It outlines major changes that have occurred with the advent and development of technology in society and therefore inevitably also in education.
Furthermore it includes a research proposal, whose results will lead to the design and verification of appropriate strategies to apply New Media in Visual Arts Education, either as a communicator or as a visual medium. The contribution will include some preliminary experiments conducted in an international project of interdisciplinary character.
