Abstract
This study aims at the basic information concerning the first military mapping in the Czech lands in 1764-1768, the initial position-describing source was found in the Müller's map of Bohemia from 1720 and the Müller's map of Moravia from 1716, concentrating primarily on making accessible the textual parts, which comprise of information comming from a thorough terrain observation and concerning everything that was the subject of military interest
