Abstract

It is believed that for the symptoms of reflux disease in the ENT region is responsible called. Extraezofageální reflux (EER).

This is a condition at which an intersection (duodeno) gastric refluxate above the upper esophageal sphincter. The term extraezofageální reflux disease was introduced to describe a state where the reflux causing annoyance and / or complications in the pharynx, oral cavity, larynx and respiratory tract.

In this text we prefer the concept of reflux disease with mimojícnovými symptoms. Its prevalence is unknown, and detection of clinical symptoms in young patients (up to 8 years) is very difficult, because this group of patients can not reliably describe the quality and quantity of their difficulties.
