Abstract
The collection summarises the contributions presented at the academic conference of the same name which took place at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport on 14 November 2013. The individual authors regard Coubertin from pedagogical (Seman, Jansa - Kovář - Kotlík, Szutáková), historic (Kolář, Waic), and philosophical point of view (Hogenová, Sekot, Parry Martínková, Dovalil).
