Abstract
Therapeutic test with PPIs (proton pump inhibitors, proton pump), sometimes also referred to as omeprazole test, an effective diagnostic procedures and therapeutic solutions simultaneously in a situation where a patient comes to typical symptoms of reflux disease, especially pyrosis or regurgitation. Expected effect in reflux disease is a matter of weeks.
Therapeutic test can be successfully used in older children and adolescents, where they are available, detailed anamnesis data support the likelihood of diagnosis of reflux disease. When relief of symptoms is recommended to continue the treatment for 3 months.
