Role Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGDS) in the diagnosis and therapy of reflux disease

Abstract

EGDS is the method of choice for detecting the presence and severity of esophagitis reflux disease and other complications. So far, the published recommendations are based on the use of EGDS with natural light.

Modern technology (HD endoscopy, chromoendoscopy, analysis of light, confocal laser microscopy, etc.) Have not been evaluated by routine diagnostics reflux disease and its complications.
