Abstract

Differential diagnosis in infants with recurrent regurgitation / vomiting and failure to thrive is very broad and includes reflux disease and milk allergy. For consider the warning signs: vomiting bile, signs of bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, sustained severe vomiting, the onset of vomiting after 6 months, failure to thrive, diarrhea, constipation, fever, lethargy, hepatosplenomegaly, pulsating fontanelle, macro or microcephaly, cramps, tenderness or distension and suspected metabolic disease.
