Will Protection of the Czech Sand Pink be Successful at Kleneč?

Abstract

Dianthus arenarius subsp. bohemicus belongs among endemic plant species in the Czech Republic, with its last indigenous locality in the Kleneč National Nature Monument near Roudnice nad Labem. At the end of the last century its population was very poor.

However, it increased several times its size and started reproduce simultaneously after major management activities and realization of action plan.
