Abstract

The contribution is concerned with the newly found work of the significant Vienna painter Daniel Gran (1694-1757) that was identified by the article author in the Zlonice church. The paintings for all altars of his patronage church were ordered by the prince Filip Kinský himself when he occupied the post of chancellor in Vienna between 1738-1745.

To the present day, only one original altarpiece with the theme of St. John of Nepomuk remained.

The others vanished or were substituted by copies.
