Abstract
The aim of this paper is to show whether and in which way shared/joint custody is reflected in the mass media targeting men and women in Czech society. The article presents the results of a qualitative and a quantitative analysis of selected media and specialized works published in the Czech Republic after 2011, that is, during a period when important changes in the legislation related to the shared custody have been under way.
The analysis identified similarities and differences in the content and style in which the issues of this institute are addressed in media aimed both at general and specialized public.
