Act No. 455/2016 Sb., amending the Criminal Code, the Act on Criminal Liability of Legal Entities and the Weapons act, has been in effect since 1. February 2017.
The aim of the amendement adopted is to streamline fight against terrorism. The author of the article discusses in detail the amendments adopted-whether it is the definition or organized crime and terorrism in the Criminal Code, regulation of character of the crime of a terrorist attack or creation of a new crime of participation in a terrorist group-and anchoring of three new crimes in the Criminal Code: financing of terrorism, support and promotion of terrorism, and threatening with a terrorist crime.
