Abstract
The author examines the development of the library of the Roman-Catholic parish in Velké Meziříčí from the 17th century up to 1944. The literary culture of local clergy administrators was at a high level.
The library is associated with the formation of a local Lutheran high school in 1578. The author then enumerates the names of priests what care they dedicated to building of the parish library.
