Crops of Africa: the origin and development of agriculture

Abstract

Agriculture in North Africa has been strongly influenced by Near-Eastern center of neolithization. On the other hand, new data show that its substantial constituent is autochthonous African development with clearly identifiable domestication events.

As a result, non-central origin of African agriculture gets stronger support than ever before.
