The preservation of sacred historical monuments in Prague during the period of the protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia

Abstract
The work deals with the care and preservation of selected sacred monuments in Prague in the period of 1942 - 1945. On the basis of the preferences of the German state administration during this period, rapid steps were taken to safeguard monuments situated outside, because many of them, including their interiors, suddenly found themselves immediately threatened by air raids.
The aim of my work is to present, on the basis of the archive sources, the specific arrangements taken during the period in question, with particular attention to the protective measures for sacred buildings in Prague, the Cathedral of St. Vitus and its interiors.
