Abstract

This case study underscores how important it is to choose the antihypertensive therapy well and to avoid the underestimation of risk of non-compliance to treatment with multiple drugs. Fixed-dose combinations, preparations with long biological halftime, and their advantages are pointed out: the possibility to decrease the number of ingested pills improves the patients compliance and thus ensures better compensation of hypertension.
