Variant endings -a and -u of inanimate masculine genitive singular forms in Polish

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2017

Abstract

This article focuses on the use of variant endings of male genitive singular forms in today's Polish using the data from the National Corpus of Polish, respectively its balanced part and data from the Polish component of the InterCorp corpus (realse 9) - the multilingual parallel corpus. I also use PELCRA ans Poliqarp corpus managers as well as the Morfio tool, which is able to estimate the range of word-producing productivity based on corpus data.

The application searches for a pair of (or even triple or quadruple) words in the corpus that have a common part (the base) and differ in the specified formats.
