Abstract
Experimental tests were performed on sandwich panels made of laminated fiber-glass composites skins and polyurethane foam core. The tests included static tensile, bending and compressive tests, and dynamic modal and impact tests.
Selected material characteristics were derived directly from the test results, while the latter were identified using numerical simulations combining the finite element method and optimization.
