Abstract
Monograph monitors new developments in diagnosis and treatment of acute conditions in cardiology. For greater clarity, almost 40 chapters divided into nine thematic areas.
The first one is dedicated mainly to prehospital care of patients with cardiac arrest, and new approaches to post-resuscitation care. The second block on the topic of acute coronary syndromes served, among other things.
Survey of new antithrombotic and antiplatelet therapy. The third issue is pulmonary embolism, one of the most discussed areas of cardiology.
Arrhythmias and influencing them is devoted to the publication of the fourth, fifth part of the then emergent hypertensive states. In the sixth circle on the topic of acute heart failure are addressed, among other issues related to invasive hemodynamics and cardiogenic shock, including possible infectious complications.
Acute aortic syndromes are clearly discussed in the block seventh, eighth with the authors focused on the specific situation of acute cardiology. The final, ninth section is devoted to investigative methods.
