Genome size estimation and chromosome number variation in Cimex bed bugs (Insecta: Heteroptera)

Publication

Abstract

The high intraspecific variability of the number of X sex chromosomes occurs in Cimex lectularius. The hypothesis that more chromosome arrangements beside fragmentation are involved in Cimex and Paracimex sex chromosomes.

Fussion of classical cytogenetics and flow cytometry has been used as a tool to study that variability.
