Osteoporosis in patients on dialysis - results from a pilot cross-sectional study

Abstract

The aim of our study was to assess the occurrence and severity of osteoporosis in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) from one dialysis centre. Conclusions: Osteoporosis is highly prevalent mostly in men with ESRD.

Thus, densitometry in those patients should be always considered.
