Aging of cerebral vasculature was described in 3 categories: major arteries, small arterials and capillaries, decreasing wasoreactivity. Effects on nutritive functions on mitochondria and axonal disintegration was discussed.
Progress of neurradiological work up was demonstrated in the fields of difusivity, in blood flow changes due to white matter sv. gray matter allocations were explained. Structural and functional deficites were shown in correlation with histological post mortem findings and also brain tractography was discussed.
