Long-term macroeconomic impacts of the educational system quality and related microeconomic aspects of teachers' salaries in the Czech Republic

Abstract

The monograph explains long-term relations between an education level of inhabitans and economic growth of a country on the basis of qualified scenarios and projections. If the cognitive skills of Czech pupils were the same as in Finland, the additional GDP would be 707 % of current HDP.

Improvement of the level of education is determined by the quality of teachers. At the microeconomic level on the basis of wage indicators we substantiate a very low wage atractivity of teachers' profesion at primary and high schools.
