Ultrasonographic and Perioperative Macroscopic Findings in Acute Carotid Artery Occlusion

Abstrakt

Perioperative findings in patients, who were operated for acute internal carotid artery occlusion, were correlated with results of color duplex ultrasound investigation in cooperative study of three clinical centers. Results show usefullness of ultrasonografphic diagnostics for evaluation of carotid artery occlusion and for indication process of urgent endarterectomy.
