The study presents an analysis of the senior social and health care in the Czech Republic; It takes its foundation primarily from the theoretical and practical position of the topic and also from the national legislative framework; The analysis of the forms and possibilities of institutional care shows a spectrum of activities and services available for most seniors; This system is well-elaborated and fairly efficient both from the viewpoint of clients themselves and the institutional linkages and permeability of expert activities; Social services in the Czech Republic are provided as residential, outpatient and terrain services; Residential services are those where seniors are accommodated in social care facilities; Outpatient services mean that seniors commute to a certain place where the service is provided without being accommodated there; Terrain services are provided to seniors in their natural social environment.
