Abstrakt
This book examines the methodology of liberation theology to see if it can avoid making idols of the poor. It does so using the major writer in the method of the theology of liberation, Clodovis Boff, along with other leading liberation theologians.
These it brings into conversation with Emmanuel Levinas, to help understand the poor as the other, and with Jean-Luc Marion, to clarify the idea of conceptual idols and icons.
