Commentary on John Deely: Ethics and the Semiosis-Semiotics Distinction

Abstract

This article consists of commentary on the last publication of a (recently deceased) leader in the field of semiotics. I analyze John Deely's approach to ethics and critique his (untenable) distinction between semiotics and semiosis.
