Abstract

Psychedelic substances are increasingly demanding attention. Especially because they are substances with a very unique effect on human psyche and with the potential for therapeutic use2,9 in conventional medicine often insufficiently or hardly curable patients.

Therefore their neglect could be considered unethical. Companies around the world have discovered hundreds of plants and mushrooms with psychedelic effects that are valued and used for a wide range of medical and religious purposes as well as for remedying various psychological and social problems.

These substances accompany the history of mankind up to modern times (and western medicine has begun to discover their positive effects), but the context of their use varies. In the company, these substances have always had their clear and dignified place that they undoubtedly deserve: they have been used for thousands of years during traditional rituals.

Already the original cultures have indicated that they are so strong that it is extremely important to place them properly. But this is not the case for the last few decades.

Even though the successes to date in treating these problems could undoubtedly immediately justify their immediate use in some patients. However, due to their illegality, there are still not enough double-blind, controlled studies to allow their legal therapeutic application.
