Abstract
The presentation explores local configurations that differ in differents parts of Turkey. It focuses upon the situation in the city of Trabzon, selected as a "interaction site".
The entry points of women into local politique in Trabzon appear, in the light of the field word, to be under control. Consequently, women achieve only minimal representation that is limited to central districts of the city.
The presentation inquires into the reasons for this situation, specially by looking at the processes of constitution of electoral lists as well as the women's branches organization within the AKP.
