In 2015 and 2016, we were commemorating several important anniversaries. At present, the Bohemian Reformation is a topic which has exceeded regional research and assumed not only European but even world-wide significance.
One proof of this trend is the number of young researchers from all over the world who have, at least passively, learnt the Czech language. The jubilees are of course important for the Czechoslovak Hussite Church which follows the heritage of the Czech reformation.
A number of events were organised by the CHC to mark the anniversaries of John Huss and Jerome of Prague. The Patriarch of the CHC, Tomáš Butta, who is also a member of the staff of the Hussite Theological Faculty CU, addresses this topic from a broader perspective in his study "Identity of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church in Relation to the Anniversaries of Master John Huss and Master Jerome of Prague".
Apart from direct reflection, he also indicates broader ideological interrelatedness.
