Teachers' Perspectives on Using Secondary School Textbooks of Czech Geography

Abstract

In a general sense, this article explores the function of textbooks in the educational process. It presents the results of a survey conducted among geography teachers at Czech secondary schools.

The questionnaire examines whether, how often and when textbooks are used in teaching about the regions of the Czech Republic and which textbooks are normally used. The conclusion contains a recommendation on how to choose a suitable textbook.
