Motion perception: Reflected and unreflected sight in connection with architecture

Publication |
2017

Abstract

Even if houses and cities do not move in ordinary sense, they may in a way express something, perhaps create a room for human movement and action. The paper address an issue how to perceive spatial movement of humans and things from the phenomenological viewpoint.

How to reflect upon one's own movement, and how to perceive spatiality by means of it. Refering to some contemporary architectural projects we pose the question whether movement and its perception can be recorded, projected, and even realized.
