Dupuytren's disease

Abstract

Dupuytren's disease is one of the most common chronic disease of the hand which limit its function by gradual shortening and thickening of palmodigital aponeurosis. This process negatively affect the quality of patient everyday life from the perspective of working and leisure activities as well.

The second edition of monography is teamwork of authors with lifelong experience with this diagnosis, upgraded by current scientific knowledge with accent to the variety of new treatment options - besides classic surgical also less invasive procedures which, in appropriate cases, lead to the shortening of treatment period and sickness leave. The publication presenting comprehensive information not only on the theoretical level - defining an indication of the individual processes, but also in terms of clinical practice - detailed description of the surgical technique, including the use of regional anesthesia, application of the enzyme collagenase, etc.
