Abstrakt

Expert consensus joint statement of Czech professional societies on the use of mechanical support for the treatment of advanced cardiac or pulmonary failure in the Czech Republic. The goal of this initiative is the development of national czech network of specialized centers providing care for patients with most severe forms of cardiac and pulmonary diseases requiring extracorporeal mechanical circulatory or respiratory support.

The concept is based on three levels of care: 1) center for long-term mechanical circulatory support, 2) center for short-term and medium-term circulatory support and 3) center for short-term mechanical circulatory support
