We have focused on different teaching methods used during teaching identifi - cation of angiosperms both at upper secondary schools and universities. Our aim was to map which teaching methods were used and why.
Semi-structured interviews and an on-line questionnaire were used to ask upper secondary school and university teachers (n = 25). Most of the university teachers used field trip and combination of methods in contrast to upper secondary school teachers who mostly used PowerPoint presentation.
University teachers recommended to combine more methods and they stressed the positive impact of field trips.
