The study deals with the medical terminology preserved in the texts of three Aramaic magical bowls. The terms used are compared with those used in Rabbinic literature (Mishnah and Babylonian Talmud).
On the basis of this comparison, the author of the study tries to point out that the scribes of these magical invocations probably belonged to an educated class familiar with rabbinic literature and medical terminology at that time. The study also includes transcription and translation of selected passages of rabbinic literature and a complete transcript and translation of three Aramaic magical bowls.
