Abstract
The result of the opening of the Bosnian space to the influences from the Islamic world at the time of an acute search for Bosnian identity was a sort of compromise: Bosnian Muslims escaped a direct acceptance of external forms of religiosity, preserved internal pluralism, but have searched all the more intensely for what constitutes A purely Bosnian experience of Islam within an universal Islamic norm.
