Histological evaluation of the implantation of magnesium alloys into the porcine femur

Abstract

Evaluation of degree of apposition of bone trabeculae to the surface of magnesium alloy implants. No direct bone contact with the surface of the implant was observed in any of the samples.

No significant inflammatory response was observed.
