Abstract
Historiography changes continuously and is enriched by theories and knowledge of many scientific disciplines and the interdisciplinary becomes more important. From the 1980s historical anthropology got into the centre of research interest.
What is historical anthropology? Is it a discipline, approach or paradigm between history and anthropology? Is it a new research approach interested in early modern times or another way to write about history? Historical anthropology still stands on the precipice and waits for a lifeline to get it to safety, where it could evolve.
